The Vortex is a more than worthy successor legendary CONDOR. Not for the feint-hearted, this model is perhaps best characterised by the words of Tangent boss and chief designer whenever he launches this his favourite model - “Full Gas!”This high speed performance glider is blessed not only by a truly remarkable glide angle and thermal sensitivity, but also with incredible agility when its time for the aerobatic schedule. Three years of constant development and flight testing have paid their dividend. The 9% original profile is secured by full surface carbon reinforcing - the wing joiner is produced from high-grade steel and reinforced with carbon, full-contact main spar with carbon braid top and bottom.
Available either with 4280 mm wing-span for extremely dynamic flight or with the new XXL extended outer wing panels giving a total span of 5 m for even greater efficiency. Both type of outer wing panels are fully interchangeable. We prefer to pack both sets!
The high performance wings are mounted on a elegant fuselage strengthened with generous use of Carbon. Vortex will reward you with an incredibly wide flight envelope, from purposeful soaring to high speed aerobatics. With the addition of an electric drive system you can transform this versatile soarer into an extreme hotliner.
