Enjoy the elegance of this large glider.Graceful soaring and elegant thermal turns are the order of the day for this HQW equipped T-tail glider with GRP winglets supplied as standard. A low take off weight, while maintaining the sufficient adequate structural integrity for moderate aerobatics were the main design criteria for this model. Both goals were achieved admirably by the application of the proven Carbon Master Edition wing panels. The camber changing flaps provide excellent speed control and the combination of the large flaps when deployed with ailerons as butterfly provides for very precise spot landings. Air-brakes were consciously discounted in an effort to save additional weight.
In addition to its suitability for winch launch, slope soaring and aero-tow, this model also offers outstanding possibilities as an electric powered glider. The kit is designed to accept an electric drive - starting from appox. 600 W and 16 cells. Thus delivering almost endless thermal flying potential, even from the flat field. The model is supplied almost ready built. The ARF version requires only the completion of the control surfaces prior to covering, while in the case of the two-coloured ARF version; it’s only a case of installing the radio control equipment.
The standard Mistral is supplied with two piece wing panels, while the Mistral 4.7 Comfort boasts a 4 section wing set for ease of transport and handling.
