VORTEX Champ - Competition technology
The Vortex Champ is the competition version of the proven well proven Vortex. This model represents the very pinnacle of composite construction. The main product highlights, when compared with the standard Vortex are as follows:- Carbon reinforced Herex main spars replace wooden spars in the wings.
- A superior grade 93 g/qm full-laminar Carbon fiber is used instead of the standard 160g/qm material.
- No spoilers are provided, but the ailerons are split and the camber changing flaps are bottom hinged and incorporate a gapless lining in the upper wing skin.
- All flying surfaces are manufactured from CNC milled Herex and fully sealed.
- The wing cores are weight matched and statically balanced.
The production model is delivered in a choice of superior designs.
Contestline-Equipment
- Ultra stiff, three-part Full Carbon Tec wing panels incorporating a carbon D-box and full-laminar support. The superior grade Carbon cloth is laid at +/- 45 degrees angle to the main spar for maximum rigidity.
- All control surfaces pre-fabricated and incorporating Elastikflap
