This most natural development follows the increasing demand for larger models. You will recognise everything which made the Alpina so successful, just bigger and better still! The elegant fuselage, the high aspect ratio wing, optimised for appearance and performance and the aggressive fin for fast, accurate tracking. All these timeless Alpina attributes remain, along with all the small details that contribute to distinguish the Tangent Contestline models from the rest.

The new four piece Carbon Master Edition wing incorporates removable tip panels to make the model very easy to transport in two meter luggage compartments. The six flap wing may also be configured for eight control surfaces giving an additional level of precision for the most discerning competition pilots. Even in the standard six flap wing configuration there is no need for an air-brake, the combination of flap and aileron deployed as crow-braking provides more than adequate approach control.

The Alpina 5001 PRO is also ideally suited for the addition of an electric motor to provide a truly exhilarating electric glider (see our drive recommendations). The Alpina 5001 Elektro is supplied with the electric fuselage, factory prepared for endless soaring fun!
