Servo Recommendations

We recommend high quality branded servos, cheap alternatives are a false economy. Our TA Servo LOCK in the wings can accommodate servos with a maximum outside dimension of 40 x 40 mm. Please refer to the table below for guidance regarding the thickness of wing servos. Note that Multiplex Super FL digi & Slim-Star FL digi servo’s do NOT fit in the servo frames provided in the current range of models. The dimensions given for the fuselage mounted servos are based on the size of the cut-out in the supplied servo tray. Twisted servo cables are pre-installed for all wing servos.

Conversion from Ncm to kg:

Value in kg = value Ncm / (9.81 * length of servo arm in cm)
e.g. A 30Ncm Servo with servo arm 2cm long equates to 30Ncm/(9.81*2)=1.52 kg
Naturally the output servo arm should always be installed at right angles to the body of the servo.
